Overview

As we see an increasingly ageing population, the number of adults needing around-the-clock care is on the rise.

As well as the need for medical care, there is also a need for high levels of personal care to allow those who need support to live as comfortably as possible.

This qualification focuses on developing a person-centred approach to delivering high levels of personal care.

What you will learn

This free course is split into manageable units:

Understanding person-centred care
Supporting personal hygiene
Understanding foot care for individuals
Understanding how to support individuals to maintain oral health
Understanding pressure area care
Understanding sepsis

Eligibility

Fully funded subject to meeting the eligibility criteria:

Been in the UK or EU for three years for purposes other than study
19+ at the start of the academic year (19-23-year-olds must have Level 2 prior attainment)
Not on an apprenticeship
Not completed any part of the course before

Delivered by Learning Curve Group (LCG) – national training and education specialists.

Online
Paper based learning is considered under special circumstances

Course Duration

Your government-funded course will take 6 weeks to complete.

Awarding Body

NCFE CACHE. Awarding Organisation nationally recognised by the qualification regulators for each country of the United Kingdom.
